Job Title: Associate Director, Supplier Relationship Management Location: Dublin, Ireland The Company A leading global pharmaceutical organisation, dedicated to improving patient outcomes through innovation in medicines, is seeking an Associate Director, Supplier Relationship Management. The company has a significant international footprint and partners with a wide network of Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs) across both API and Drug Product. The Role The Associate Director will play a key role in developing and executing the Operations Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) model across the external supply network. This position is highly visible, requiring leadership of supplier governance, oversight of external partners, and strong collaboration with Technical Operations, Quality, Regulatory and Supply Chain functions. Key responsibilities include: Acting as the Relationship Manager for key suppliers (API, Drug Product, Packaging, Components). Leading supplier performance management through KPIs, scorecards, and robust business reviews. Ensuring contract compliance, risk management, and supply continuity across the global external network. Partnering closely with Technical Operations on technology transfer, supplier selection, and network optimisation. Facilitating cross-functional Supplier Relationship Management Teams (SRMTs) and Joint Operations Teams (JOTs) to drive operational performance. Supporting Quality, EHSS, and Supply Chain initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field. 10 plus years in the pharmaceutical/life sciences sector, with at least 7 years in external operations, supplier management, or CMO leadership roles. Strong Technical Operations background across API and Drug Product CMOs is essential. Demonstrated leadership of global supplier networks, including contract negotiation and lifecycle management. Deep understanding of GMP manufacturing processes, regulatory frameworks, and quality systems. Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives, manage risk, and ensure supply continuity. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels. Indirect Procurement Manager The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established procurement structure as part of a wider group procurement transformation programme. The role of Indirect Procurement Manager will play a key part in shaping and delivering the future of procurement across the organisation. You will be responsible for driving value, efficiency and innovation across a range of indirect categories, with a particular focus on technology and professional services. Working within a dynamic and evolving procurement function, you will contribute to building new ways of working, strengthening supplier partnerships and ensuring that procurement delivers tangible benefits to the business. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement category strategies across a broad range of indirect spend areas, including technology, professional services, HR, facilities and related services. Partner with stakeholders across the business to align sourcing strategies with organisational goals. Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to inform strategic decision making. Lead supplier negotiations, ensuring value creation, cost efficiency and strong contractual outcomes. Manage supplier relationships to drive performance, innovation and resilience. Identify risks in the supply chain and implement appropriate mitigation strategies. Ensure all procurement activity is fully compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements. What We're Looking For 5-7 years plus experience in indirect procurement, ideally with exposure to technology and professional services. A track record of developing and implementing category strategies that deliver measurable benefits. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels. Strong analytical skills with experience of market and spend analysis. Commercial acumen and strong negotiation experience. A procurement qualification (CIPS or equivalent) is desirable but not essential. About the Team You will be part of a newly created procurement structure within Group Procurement, designed to support a step-change in how the organisation manages its supply base. This transformation programme is reshaping procurement into a strategic function that enables long-term value creation and efficiency across the business.
