With a commitment to delivering life-saving medications to patients worldwide, they are seeking a highly skilled Associate Director of Procurement to join their dynamic team in North Dublin.
Role Overview:
As the Associate Director of Procurement, you will be responsible for leading the negotiation of global contracts with Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs). Managing an annual spend of $100 million, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring cost-effective procurement strategies and fostering strong supplier relationships. This position offers hybrid working options, with approximately 15-20% travel mainly across Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the negotiation and management of global contracts with Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs) to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the company's growth objectives and expansion initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to understand business requirements and align procurement activities with organisational goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes, efficiency, and cost savings.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to inform procurement decisions and maintain competitiveness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in negotiating and managing global contracts with Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs) within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices, supplier management, and cost analysis.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrix organisation.
- Willingness to travel approximately 15-20% of the time, primarily across Europe
