My client offers expert advisory services in soil, air, water, waste, energy, noise, and ecology. Here's a golden opportunity for a dynamic Principal Hydrogeologist to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, lead, and support field projects (e.g., groundwater sampling, drilling).
  • Oversee soil and groundwater remediation works.
  • Ensure health and safety is integral at all stages of projects.
  • Support technical aspects like field data capture and management.
  • Contribute to deliverables, including writing technical memorandums and reports.
  • Aid in data interpretation, evaluations, and risk assessments.
  • Conduct Phase 1 Desk Studies, Phase 2 Site Investigations, and remediation design.
  • Complete relevant chapters for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
  • Manage and deliver contaminated land projects.
  • Organize and check site work.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, regulators, and sub-contractors.
  • Support senior management in business development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified in a relevant engineering or science subject (e.g., geology or hydrogeology).
  • Ideally chartered with IGI, GeolSoc, IEMA, CIWEM, or equivalent.
  • Experience in hydrogeology or environmental consultancy.
  • Understanding of environmental and regulatory frameworks.
  • Knowledge of EIAs, waste management, due diligence, and permitting (desirable).
  • Excellent technical and numerical skills with a focus on quality control.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Clean driver's license.
  • Initiative, energy, enthusiasm, commitment, and flexibility in work approach.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and meetings.
