My client are industrial group specializing in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of goods worldwide. Our team is dedicated to ensuring seamless operations and efficient supply chain management. We are currently seeking an Inventory Planner to join our dynamic team.

Job Overview: The Inventory Planner will play a pivotal role in transforming our inventory management processes. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who can bring analytical prowess and strategic foresight to optimize stock levels and prevent stock outages. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments, including purchasing, freight, operations, and stock control, to develop and implement effective inventory policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting & Analysis:

    • Utilize analytical tools to forecast stock requirements based on sales data and market trends.
    • Monitor demand influencers such as promotions, seasonal changes, and new product launches.
    • Generate and present stock reports to stakeholders.
  • Inventory Management:

    • Optimize minimum and maximum stock levels to prevent stockouts.
    • Develop and implement policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inventory management.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits and update master data.
  • Collaboration & Coordination:

    • Liaise with purchasing, freight, and operations teams to forecast supply and demand accurately.
    • Coordinate with site managers for intercompany stock movements between branches.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high service levels.
    • Track and report supplier performance to maximize efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance inventory management processes.
    • Address and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Inventory Planning or Stock Control.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with Excel, Power BI and MS suite
  • Experience with ERP, WMS
  • Excellent communication skills for effective liaising with multiple departments.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing inventory policies and procedures.
