Lab Technician

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for quality and innovation in the food industry? We're looking for a Lab Technician to join a dynamic team based in Waterford, Ireland.

About the Role
In this role, you'll be a key player in ensuring top-notch product quality through chemical and microbiological testing. You'll also coordinate vital quality assurance processes, supporting a leading company in the food production sector.

What You'll Do

• Set up and shut down the lab efficiently.
• Collect and prepare samples for testing and export certifications.
• Oversee key programs, including salmonella control and residue testing.
• Conduct chemical and microbiological analysis, including brine and nitrite testing.
• Manage lab calibrations and equipment traceability.
• Participate in audits (sanitation, GMP, environmental) and proficiency testing.
• Review lab reports, trend results, and handle documentation updates.
• Implement and maintain HACCP and sanitation procedures.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone with:
A degree in Food Science, Biology, or Agri-Science.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Excellent time management and organization.
A self-motivated, proactive mindset.
