Our client is expanding rapidly to meet the growing demands of both the Irish and export markets. They are seeking a highly energetic and driven individual to join their team as the Group Logistics Administrator.

This new role is crucial in supporting the Group Logistics Manager to ensure that all logistics depots operate consistently and align with the highest standards of administration, statutory compliance, continuous improvement, site projects, and logistics metrics.

  • Reporting and Metrics: Compile and integrate reports and metrics from various logistics sites into a cohesive group scorecard.
  • Standardisation: Develop and standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across different logistics depots.
  • Project Coordination: Attend in-house project meetings and effectively communicate project information to team members.
  • Compliance Management: Maintain all legal compliance and statutory inspection documentation for all sites. Ensure timely closure of open actions and updates to government bodies.
  • Safety Reporting: Consolidate accident scorecard data from all sites into a single group scorecard.
  • Project Management: Oversee small site and group projects that contribute to continuous improvement and operational efficiencies.
  • General Support: Provide broad administrative support for all logistics and site-related activities.
  • System Management: Assist in establishing and maintaining management systems across all group sites.
  • Travel: Be prepared to travel to various Group logistics sites within the Republic of Ireland (ROI) and Northern Ireland (NI).

Key Behaviours:

  • Educational Background: Possess a 3rd level qualification in Business Studies, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics (preferred).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with Visio and Project is desirable but not essential.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills, capable of addressing and resolving operational challenges.
  • Documentation Skills: Experienced in creating documentation, including Work Instructions, SOPs, and SLAs.
  • Team Collaboration: Demonstrates a team spirit, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Project Leadership: Experience in leading or participating in projects, particularly within Supply Chain or Logistics, is preferred.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Continuous Education: Training or continuing education in Logistics, Digitalization, Continuous Improvement, or Project Management.
  • Systems Knowledge: Working experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Transport Management Systems (TMS).
  • Data Analytics: Familiarity with Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
