About the Role: Our client, a leading fresh produce company, is undergoing a rapid phase of expansion and is seeking a dynamic Production Manager for their packhouse environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further their career in a fast-paced food production setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations in the packhouse, ensuring efficient and timely production
• Lead and motivate a team of 50+ employees, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with BRC standards and other regulatory requirements
• Oversee the handling of short shelf-life/fresh products to maintain quality and safety
• Implement and monitor production schedules to meet customer demands
• Identify and resolve production issues promptly to minimise downtime

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a fast-paced food production environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams of 50+ people
• Experience in a BRC-approved environment
• Familiarity with handling short shelf-life/fresh products
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, must have some IT experience including frequent user of Excel
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
