Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join their dynamic laboratory team. This vital role ensures strict quality standards across all stages of production, from raw materials to finished products. Working closely with QC Chemists and management, the successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining and improving quality assurance processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams including Production and Purchasing.
This role is ideal for an individual with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-house QC testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Select and prepare standards for production sample comparisons.
- Evaluate and document the compliance of raw materials with specifications.
- Collect, review, and file Certificates of Analysis for raw materials.
- Document HACCP CCP and OPRP requirements in accordance with company standards.
- Organize, store, and manage QC retained samples, ensuring cleanliness and proper disposal.
- Clean and calibrate QC lab instruments regularly.
- Identify and report areas for improvement in QC processes and propose actionable solutions.
- Perform standard tests such as Brix, pH, and turbidity on products.
- Ensure adherence to GMPs, GLPs, and safety protocols while executing test methods.
- Maintain a clean working environment and manage lab inventory efficiently.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the QC department.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
