Job Title: Group Supplier Auditor

Location: Westmeath, Ireland (with remote working options)

Contract: 12-month fixed term, with potential for extension

Travel Requirement: Approximately 10% European travel (Please note you must also have your own vehicle to travel to supplier sites in Ireland)

About the Role

Our client are a leading multinational food manufacturing organisation seeking a skilled Group Supplier Auditor to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring our suppliers adhere to the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive audits and assessments of supplier sites and internal manufacturing facilities across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with company quality standards, industry regulations, and food safety requirements.
  • Develop and maintain audit schedules, reports, and corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address and resolve any non-compliance issues identified during audits.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance, providing insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with internal teams to align supplier quality management with overall business objectives.
  • Participate in risk assessments and contribute to supplier approval processes.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in auditing within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (e.g., HACCP, BRC, ISO 22000).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to travel across Europe (10%) as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant auditing certifications are highly desirable (e.g., Lead Auditor certification).
