Job Description: Technical Manager
Location: Monaghan, Ireland
Type: Full-Time
Company Overview:
Our client is a well-established SME in the food industry, known for its commitment to quality and innovation. They are seeking a skilled Technical Manager to join their team in Monaghan and lead the quality management initiatives at their facility.
Role Overview:
The Technical Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety across the production site. This role involves leading a small team and developing, implementing, and maintaining a Quality Management System (QMS) to uphold the company's quality standards and compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) in line with industry standards and regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a small technical team to achieve quality objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality and safety of products throughout the production process.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for quality improvement and drive initiatives to enhance product quality and safety.
- Investigate and resolve quality-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards, including HACCP and BRC.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to quality management.
- Provide technical expertise and support to other departments as needed.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and regulatory changes to maintain the company's competitive edge.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a quality management role within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards, including HACCP and BRC.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in using quality management software and tools
