Utilities Electrical Engineer

Join a leading biopharmaceutical company as a Utilities Electrical Engineer, driving the reliability, compliance, and performance of critical utilities systems. This role is integral to maintaining safety, quality, and equipment reliability while fostering a lean, data-driven approach to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead development and optimization of utilities maintenance strategies.
• Provide frontline engineering support for systems like boilers, chillers, HVAC, and electrical distribution (10kV & LV).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in electrical systems, life safety systems, and utility controls.
• Enhance equipment reliability through data-driven methodologies and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with SMEs, operations, and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
• Drive vendor engagement, SLA development, and training initiatives for operations teams.
• Develop and manage PMs, job plans, and KPIs to track and optimize utility system performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years in utilities within a regulated manufacturing setting (preferably biopharmaceuticals).
• Education: Electrical Trade Qualification or Level 8 Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency in control systems, safety circuitry, and CMMS.
• Background in OPEX, lean principles, reliability engineering, and maintenance management.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (cGMP, safety).
• Strong technical and organizational skills, with a safety-first mindset and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
